Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly those interested in culinary arts.

A fine dining restaurant, at Unalome, our passion is to deliver flavour, using the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients. Both the food and the service combine with a relaxing ambience to ensure our guests have a truly memorable dining experience.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary ingredients and equipment during service periods.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.
Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is not required, we welcome applicants eager to learn.
A passion for food preparation and an interest in pursuing a career within the culinary field is highly desirable.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with other kitchen staff.
A proactive attitude towards helping others within the hospitality setting is essential.
