Customer Care & Office Administrator

Location: Leicester (Office Based)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About Laylo Building & Landscaping

Laylo Building & Landscaping Ltd is a growing commercial landscaping contractor specialising in new-build residential developments across the Midlands. We work with some of the UK's leading housebuilders, delivering high-quality soft landscaping, grounds maintenance and ecological works.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Customer Care & Office Administrator to join our team.

The Role

This is a varied role combining customer care, administration and office support. You will be the first point of contact for customer care enquiries, ensuring issues are dealt with professionally and efficiently while also supporting the wider business with day-to-day administrative tasks.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and helping ensure the smooth running of the office.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Care

Manage incoming customer care enquiries via email and telephone.
Log and track customer care cases from receipt through to completion.
Liaise with site teams, operations and clients to arrange remedial works.
Keep customers and clients updated throughout the process.
Maintain accurate records of all correspondence and completed works.
Produce customer care reports when required.
Ensure service level agreements and response times are achieved.

Office Administration

Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
Manage company inboxes.
Prepare and issue quotations, purchase orders and general correspondence.
Maintain filing systems and company records.
Assist with scheduling works and coordinating site teams.
Update internal systems and spreadsheets.
Support document control, including health & safety documentation.
Order office supplies and assist with general office management.
Provide administrative support to Directors, Operations and Commercial teams.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Friendly, professional and confident communicating with customers.
Able to prioritise a busy workload.
Calm under pressure and solution focused.
A strong team player with a positive attitude.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Comfortable learning new software and business systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

Previous customer service or customer care experience.
Office administration experience.
Experience within construction, landscaping or housebuilding (preferred but not essential).
Experience using CRM or scheduling software.
