Medicines Counter Assistant (Full Time)

Full-time | Hours and working pattern negotiable for the right candidate

Are you passionate about helping people and providing exceptional customer service? We're looking for a friendly, motivated and reliable Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) to join our busy community pharmacy in East Leake.

Whether you're already MCA qualified or looking to undertake the training, we'd love to hear from you if you enjoy working with people and take pride in delivering outstanding service.

About the Role

As a Medicines Counter Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our patients and customers. Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in ensuring our community receives safe, professional and compassionate care.

Community pharmacy is a rewarding but fast-paced environment, so we're looking for someone who enjoys keeping busy, can adapt to changing priorities and remains calm under pressure. What we're looking for

MCA qualification, or willingness to complete the training.
Previous customer service or retail experience.
A friendly, approachable and professional manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Able to work independently and use initiative.
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
A positive team player who supports colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include

Welcoming patients and customers and providing excellent customer service.
Responding to patient queries within your level of training.
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Filing and retrieving prescriptions accurately.
Managing and replenishing retail stock.
Providing advice on medicines, healthcare products and pharmacy services appropriate to your training.
Supporting the pharmacy team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.
