Full job description

York Tap is looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team and offer operational support to the General Manager at our Award winning York station pub.

You will be responsible for helping to oversee the bar team, playing a leading role in maintaining high standards of customer service and carrying out the directives from the senior management of Pivovar.

An understanding and experience of carrying out stock control, accounting, pricing and invoicing are essential, whilst strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills will also be required.

This is an exciting time to join the company, with further sites planned in the future & the opportunity to progress further for ambitious and outstanding individuals.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager who:

Is passionate about quality beer, wine, spirits and their customer's experience.
Possesses a keen knowledge of their product, customer and market.
Has a strong front-of-house presence, matched with excellent operational organisation and controls.
Has proven themselves as an Assistant Manager and has experience of managing a business with craft beer and independant spirit offering.
Has proven experience of driving sales and the profitability of a business.
Has the ability to lead a diverse team of people
Can create incentives and coordinate training sessions to increase product knowledge and customer spend
Oversee that rotas are completed in advance to site par level and in line with department wage budgets
Can effectively market and promote of the venue, which will include organising in-house events and ensuring the delivery of engaging social media on a daily basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £32,500.00 per year
