Full job description

Join Our Busy, Award-Winning Salon Team

We're looking for a full-time Receptionist to join our friendly and fast-paced salon team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and can confidently multitask while delivering exceptional customer service.

Working Hours;

Tuesday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Thursday: Either 8:30am – 5:30pm or 10:30am – 7:45pm (late night)
Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 4:45pm

40-hour working week (shift pattern)
Start times vary between 8:00am and 9:00am
Finish times vary between 5:00pm and 6:15pm
Thursdays include a late shift until 7:45pm, with a later start of 10:30am
Rotas are issued approximately 2 weeks in advance, so you'll know your shifts and which salon you'll be working in.

Training

Your first 3 months of training will take place at our Cirencester salon, where you'll work alongside one of our Senior Receptionists to learn all aspects of the role.

Main Responsibilities

Managing daily administration and banking
Responding to emails and handling enquiries professionally
Answering telephone calls and managing salon bookings
Working confidently with salon software, Microsoft Word and Excel
Welcoming clients, processing payments and booking future appointments
Keeping the reception area clean, organised and well stocked, including retail displays
Opening and closing the salon as a key holder
Working closely with the stylists to ensure appointments run smoothly throughout the day
Providing every client with an exceptional experience from arrival through to departure
Handling client concerns and complaints professionally, calmly and efficiently
Following all company policies and procedures
Maintaining a professional appearance, with immaculate hair, makeup and presentation
Reporting regularly to the Front of House Manager and keeping them updated on any issues

Be confident working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Be able to multitask and prioritise effectively
Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
Be confident using computers and learning new software
Be reliable, professional and friendly with a positive attitude

Interview Process

Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to attend an interview.

Successful candidates will then be asked to attend a trial afternoon in the salon. This is an opportunity for both you and us to ensure the role is the right fit and to give you a realistic insight into the pace and responsibilities of working in our salons.
