Rhosyn Restaurant at Penally Abbey | Full Time

We're looking for an experienced chef to join our kitchen team at Rhosyn Restaurant.

Rhosyn holds 2 AA Rosettes and is proudly listed in the Michelin Guide, but what we're most proud of is the atmosphere we've created.

We're a family-run hotel with a close-knit team who genuinely enjoy working together. We work hard, support one another and take huge pride in producing food that celebrates the incredible ingredients Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Working alongside our Head Chef, Nathan, you'll be part of a kitchen that's driven by the seasons. Menus evolve constantly, daily specials are inspired by whatever is looking its best that day, and great ingredients always come first.

We're much more interested in attitude than job titles. If you're passionate about cooking, enjoy working with fresh seasonal produce and want to be part of an ambitious but friendly kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

Working alongside our Head Chef, Nathan, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping deliver consistently exceptional food while supporting the wider team.

You'll be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
Working with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
Supporting menu development and daily specials
Supporting Nathan with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Taking responsibility for the kitchen and running evening service when required
Helping maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
Supporting, training and encouraging junior members of the team
Taking pride in every plate that leaves the pass

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has solid experience working in a professional kitchen
Is confident running a kitchen service when required
Enjoys supporting and encouraging others
Loves cooking with seasonal ingredients
Takes pride in producing consistently excellent food
Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
Wants to contribute ideas while continuing to learn and develop
