Full job description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Assistant and become a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, handling, and management of materials within our warehouse. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes, accurate stock management, and high-quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse operations while contributing to a well-organized and safety-conscious environment. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, your enthusiasm and dedication will help us achieve operational excellence together!

Duties

Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving inventory using manual methods or forklifts
Operate forklift equipment safely to load and unload goods efficiently
Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying deliveries, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation
Support warehouse management system (WMS) entries to track inventory levels and locations accurately
Pick, pack, stock shelves, and prepare orders for dispatch with attention to detail and quality standards
Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure products meet company specifications
Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking supplies, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety protocols

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar logistics roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable; certification is a plus
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Ability to perform picking & packing tasks meticulously while maintaining high quality standards
Good understanding of stock management practices including stocking techniques and inventory control
Awareness of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and equipment operation
