Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Charity Shop Manager, where your leadership and retail expertise will drive the success of our community-focused store. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a passionate team, and ensure the shop runs smoothly while maximizing donations and sales. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help create an inviting environment that encourages community engagement and supports our charitable mission. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference while honing your management and retail skills in a lively, purpose-driven setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
Oversee daily shop operations, including opening, closing, stock management, and merchandising to ensure an attractive shopping environment
Manage inventory intake, pricing, and display to maximize donations’ value and sales potential
Supervise staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient team
Maintain accurate administrative records such as sales reports, donation logs, and stock levels
Cultivate positive relationships with supporters, donors, and the local community to boost engagement and donations
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, store policies, and procedures at all times

Experience

Proven management experience in retail or charity shop environments with a focus on team supervision
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff and volunteers effectively
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse communities
Demonstrated success in merchandising, sales management, and achieving financial goals
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Previous administrative experience including record keeping, reporting, and phone etiquette
Experience in supervising staff or volunteers within retail or community-based organizations is preferred
