Are you looking for a role with real job satisfaction?

Access Your Care is growing as a business, and we are looking for energetic, personable and empathetic people to join our team as Domestic Support Assistants.

Working out in the community, you will be visiting clients in their homes, following their care plan to support them, giving the highest quality of support possible.

About you

Experience is not necessary for this role, you will be given a five day classroom based induction followed by a shadowing period working with one of our senior carers when you first start. What you will need is:

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

- To be someone who takes pride in the work they do.

- To be able to complete a number of tasks within an allotted time.

What you’ll be doing

You will be visiting clients in their homes providing support, the below list gives some examples of tasks you will be doing.

- Nutrition and hydration support (preparing food and drink, ensuring clients have enough food in the house and all is in date).

- Providing domestic support, deep cleaning clients homes.

- Following each clients care plan to ensure all tasks are complete and good quality notes are made for every call.

- Taking clients shopping or delivering shopping to clients homes.

- Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.

- Client contact earnings of up to £24,336.00 per year (if working full time)

- Paid travel time between clients at £12.71 per hour, worth up to £2,641.60 per year (if working 40 hours per week) (not all care providers pay for travel time, but we do)

- Paid mileage for drivers paid at 45p per mile, worth up to £1,693.22 per year.

- Every six months you will get the proud to care bonus, paid to you for working for a North Somerset lead provider, worth up to £1,037.42 per year. You get this just for working for us.

- Receive a £1,000 joining bonus for coming on board with us.

- You will get a fixed two week rolling rota, agreed on by you. This means you will always know when you are and are not working.

- Guaranteed hours, you will be given the hours that you have agreed to each week.

- Set shift times, Domestic teams work Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00.

- Up to 33 days annual leave per year depending on length of service.
