We're now looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Consultant to strengthen our sales team.

The Opportunity

This isn't a traditional sales role.

You'll work alongside an experienced team, taking ownership of complex construction opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award.

Success in this role comes from understanding how projects develop, identifying the key decision makers, influencing stakeholders throughout the procurement process and keeping opportunities moving until they're secured.

You'll enjoy building relationships, solving technical challenges and finding creative ways to unlock opportunities that others miss.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing and developing construction projects through the complete sales cycle.
Building relationships with architects, main contractors, consultants and developers.
Identifying every stakeholder involved in a project and influencing the specification journey.
Following opportunities with persistence, ensuring projects continue progressing towards award.
Understanding clients' technical requirements and proposing commercially viable solutions.
Creating opportunities through proactive business development and targeted prospecting.
Maintaining accurate project information within our CRM and sales pipeline.
Representing A&S professionally throughout every customer interaction.

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving

This role is designed for a consultative salesperson with strong technical aptitude and the confidence to work independently.

You'll quickly learn and apply detailed knowledge of our steel structures, fabrication methods, structural design principles and protective finishes, enabling you to provide expert advice and practical solutions to customers.

A background in construction, structural steel, fabrication, architectural products or technical building products will be a significant advantage.

We're looking for someone who can confidently answer technical questions, understand project challenges, and build credibility without relying on constant internal support.
