Job Overview

A job opportunity has arisen for a Shift Supervisor on a new waste recycling plant in Melton, Hull.You will be responsible to the Site management team and work as lead of the plant Operations team to drive effective, timely and cost-effective waste operations on the recycling processing site.This role will be full time and suit someone who has worked previously in the waste recycling sector.The company is installing a state-of-the-art facility for recycling and reprocessing Commercial waste into high grade fuel pellets, used in industry as a low carbon green fuel.The company are looking for experienced operators, who are motivated, forward thinking individuals with a professional manner and a positive attitude to join our team.

Title: Shift Supervisor

Salary/Rate: £41,500

Location: Melton, Hull

Hours: Full Time, Shift system - 4 on 4 off - 2 days, 2 nights

Duties will include:

To work closely with other team members, Site Managers to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Policies, procedures, management systems and regulations.
To oversee the loading/unloading process and work within the waste process as required.
To organise staff cover for operations on a day to day basis.
To organise works for staff on a day to day basis.
To act pro-actively to support and assist the part ordering processes to drive maximum efficiency as required.
To work closely with Fitters / Electricians and Site Manager on plant maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient running of site operations.
To communicate effectively with team members and Site managers and Directors.
To work closely with Weighbridge operations team and haulage drivers on site to ensure smooth running of the site operations.
To use equipment to assist recycling processes as required.
To participate in local site inductions, SHEQ Briefings / Toolbox Talks and any other site communications required by the business as required.
To support ongoing delivery of Strategic Objectives and People / Communication Strategies in line with Business Plan.
To participate in all site activities and assist the ISO Accreditation and maintaining the Quality Standards.

Experience:

Experience of supervising in a factory environment.
Hardworking, enthusiastic and keen to work within a small but expanding team in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Flexible approach to working hours and willing to work regular overtime.

Pay: £41,000.00 per year
