Blunsdon Fitness + is currently looking for a Full Time Assistant Manager

We are a 4* privately owned Hotel on the outskirts of Swindon with 108 bedrooms, 3 Bars, 2 Restaurants, extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities, Blunsdon Fitness + Leisure Club & Secrets Spa/ Beauty Salon. We are a busy venue with corporate delegates, Leisure Guests, celebrations events, Christmas Parties and much more. ,

As a key member of the Management Team you will assist the Head of Department in developing Staff and maintaining the Club to a high standard, ensuring that Members receive an impeccable customer service experience and that operations run smoothly and efficiently whilst offering a friendly and welcoming environment at all times.

Duties will include but not limited to:-

To be fully conversant with facilities, services and promotions offered by the Club and to be responsible for the smooth running of the Club when on shift.
Be responsible for looking after and maintaining the Swimming Pool and Pool Plant equipment
Assist in the induction and training of Staff members ensuring they are fulfilling their job requirements on a daily basis and that scheduled tasks are to a high standard.
Greet Members and guests as they come into the Club, building a good rapport
General Reception Duties
Conduct Gym Inductions, Personal Training Sessions
Ensure regular pool tests are conducted
Ensuring an excellent customer experience is delivered by adhering to service standards and values, actively seeking customer feedback, and responding to enquiries and complaints appropriately, referring issues to your Head of Department when required.
Taking a lead role in managing specific projects
Keeping up to date with current trends and qualifications in the Health and Fitness industry.
Ensuring that all staff are trained in Club processes and procedures.
Assist the Head of department in developing the fitness products offered and contributing to the development of the facilities and procedures through analysis of usage figures and customer feedback.
Acting as a fire warden and first aider as required.
Assist in Health & Safety of the Club and to be aware of Risk Assessments and COSHH

Previous experience of working in a similar establishment is essential. Must be flexible towards working hours as the club is open 7 days a week Mon - Fri 6am - 10pm, Weekends 7.00am - 9pm. You will be required to work 5 days per week, working varying shifts including some weekends 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/7am - 1.30pm etc.

You must have:

First Aid training
Pool Responder/NPLQ qualification
Level 2 Gym Instructor
Level 3 Personal Trainer
Pool Plant Room qualification/experience
