Job Introduction

TECHNICAL SUPPORT MANAGER – EAST REGION

Up to £49,612.50 + £6,000 Car Allowance | West Tofts Camp, Thetford, Norfolk | Permanent

This is a unique opportunity to take on a central role in maintaining a safe, compliant and high‑performing built estate across the East region. As Technical Support Manager, you’ll provide trusted technical guidance, lead on statutory compliance and support strategic decision‑making that keeps the Defence Training Estate operating to the highest standards. Your work directly contributes to the safety, reliability and long‑term performance of critical military training facilities.

The Essentials

Salary: Up to £49,612.50 + £6,000 Car Allowance
Location: West Tofts Camp, Thetford, Norfolk, IP26 5EP
Contract: Permanent, Office Based, Mon – Fri
Travel: Periodically in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex & Northamptonshire (travel costs covered)

About the Organisation

Landmarc supports the UK Armed Forces by keeping the Defence Training Estate running safely and effectively. We manage training areas and ranges, maintain essential infrastructure and deliver major improvement projects that enhance military training across the UK.

What You’ll Do

Support delivery of statutory Big 6 compliance (Fire, DSEAR, Electrical, Asbestos, Legionella, Fuels & Gases)
Act as Deputy Responsible Person for Asbestos and Legionella
Ensure management plans are implemented and remedial actions completed
Train, guide and support delivery teams to embed best practice
Write specifications, review quotes and manage small contractor‑led works
Spot cost‑saving and income‑generating opportunities
Maintain and correct asset data
Hold appointment as Authorised Person (AP) where required

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Building or Civil Engineering (or time‑served equivalent)
Strong knowledge of building services, SFG20, CDM, Legionella & Asbestos
Health & Safety experience (IOSH Managing Safely minimum)
Understanding of COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments & safe systems of work
Confident using asset/maintenance systems (Maximo experience ideal)
Experience supporting project delivery
A problem‑solving, improvement‑focused mindset
Ability to maintain high quality standards across functions
Full UK driving licence
