Customer Contact Administrator (Part-Time)

About the Role

Richmond Scientific is seeking a confident and organised Customer Contact Administrator to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend for the right person.

This is an office-based role focused on maintaining regular contact with our existing customers. You'll be responsible for following up quotations, building strong customer relationships, keeping our CRM up to date, and helping ensure enquiries progress efficiently through the sales process.

We're looking for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, is confident communicating by phone and email, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. This is not a cold-calling role—all contact is on a ‘keep in touch’ basis with existing customers or customers who have already enquired.

Key Responsibilities

Contact existing customers by telephone and email to maintain relationships and follow up quotations.
Check the progress of quotations and gather customer feedback.
Accurately update customer records and communications within our CRM system.
Liaise with the sales team to ensure customer enquiries are managed efficiently.
Assist customers with general enquiries and direct requests to the appropriate team member.
Ensure customer information remains accurate and up to date.
Provide administrative support to the sales and customer service teams.

We're looking for someone who:

Is confident speaking with customers on the telephone as well as communicating professionally by email.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
Has strong attention to detail and enjoys keeping records accurate.
Is comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team.
Has previous experience in customer service, sales support, office administration, or a similar customer-facing role (preferred).
