Full job description

Starting salary range is circa £30,500 with an uplift following successful completion of probation and a non-contractual bonus is also available. This role has developmental opportunities for exceptional candidates and the progression will be discussed at the Interview.

Hours – Full time (37 hours), Monday to Friday. Office based. Occasional business travel outside of these hours may be required.

The role

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our Business Development (BD) Team. We believe in developing people’s strengths at WPA so your existing skills and experience will be developed, should you decide to apply (which we hope you do!). The purpose of this role is to support an Account Manager in proactively building and maintaining relationships with Intermediaries (insurance brokers) to promote and secure new business for WPA.

You will assist with new business quotations including follow-ups, the onboarding of new customers, assisting with training and support, providing advice to prospective customers and Intermediaries in relation to WPA products and processes.

About you

We are keen to hear from you if you have a passion for people, building relationships, and a proven track record of being dedicated and proactive in your approach to work. You have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organisational skills. You should have the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working effectively in a team to meet deadlines, manage your own time and priorities, show sound judgement and problem-solving skills.

You will be joining a hardworking, close, and supportive office-based team and we seek people with likeminded attributes who are always a great asset to any team they are part of. Passion and enthusiasm are also key. The BD Broker Account Executive role requires you to be comfortable with working with numbers and to take an analytical approach when preparing and proposing new business quotations.

Mentoring, training and coaching will help develop you and bring your talents to the fore – there are fantastic development opportunities within WPA Business Development so this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career, but has not yet found the right opportunity.
