Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications with precision, adhering to legal and safety regulations
Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to patients and healthcare providers
Monitor patient medication histories to ensure safety and efficacy of treatments
Collaborate with medical teams to develop personalised medication plans based on individual patient needs
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and stock levels
Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical legislation and organisational policies
Educate patients on proper medication storage, administration, and lifestyle considerations related to their treatments
Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacology, including new medications and treatment protocols

Requirements

Qualified Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or relevant regulatory body
Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably with ICU experience or similar high-acuity environments
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology principles
Demonstrated ability in medication administration and patient care practices
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
Flexibility to work shifts as required within a healthcare setting; ongoing professional development is encouraged

Pay: From £46,000.00 per year
