Overview

We are looking for a Locum Pharmacist ( one day a week) to join our dynamic healthcare team , where you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective, and personalized medication management for our diverse community. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will combine your expertise in medication therapy with exceptional customer service skills to enhance patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, foster positive relationships, and contribute to a health-focused environment that values precision, communication, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all safety protocols and legal regulations
Provide expert consultation to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records using advanced pharmacy IT systems
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies and resolve any issues promptly
Lead and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold high standards of service, accuracy, and professionalism
Manage inventory levels efficiently, ensuring the availability of essential medications while minimizing waste
Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries with clarity and empathy, fostering trust and satisfaction

Qualifications

Valid licensure as a Pharmacist in the relevant jurisdiction with current registration
Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information clearly and compassionately
Proven leadership abilities with experience guiding or supervising pharmacy teams
Proficiency in pharmacy IT systems and familiarity with digital health tools
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and active listening capabilities
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience in community or hospital pharmacy settings is preferred but not required
