Full job description

Walker Fire is looking for an experienced and commercially aware Fire & Security Surveyor to join our growing team, covering Belfast & the surrounding area.

£35,000–£40,000 basic salary | 2.75% commission on qualifying invoice-paid revenue.

Ramped first-year targets | Realistic OTE of £46,000–£51,000 once established.

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing surveyor, estimator, project engineer or experienced fire and security engineer who is looking to move into a customer-facing technical and commercial role.

The role is supported by opportunities generated through our existing customer base, service teams, engineers, Customer Service operation and business development activity., along with your pipeline through your own new-business activity.

The company is NSI Gold and BAFE accredited and employ an excellent team of Engineers and Apprentices.

We would be interested in speaking with candidates currently working as a:

Fire & Security Surveyor
Technical Sales Surveyor
Fire Alarm or Security Estimator
Project or Commissioning Engineer
Senior Fire & Security Engineer
Technical Sales Engineer

About You

You will:

Attend customer sites and complete detailed technical surveys.
Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Produce accurate scopes of work and quotations.
Survey fire alarms, emergency lighting, extinguishers, security systems and other related services.
Identify compliance issues, remedial requirements and opportunities for additional services.
Work closely with customers, engineers, Service Managers and internal support teams.
Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up outstanding quotations.
Ensure proposed solutions are technically accurate, commercially viable and suitable for the customer.
Build strong customer relationships and support the continued growth of existing accounts.

You should have:

Good technical knowledge of fire and/or security systems.
Experience surveying, estimating, installing, commissioning or maintaining relevant systems.
The ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Good attention to detail when producing scopes and quotations.
Commercial awareness and confidence discussing solutions with customers.
The ability to manage your own diary, follow-ups and quotation pipeline.
A full UK driving licence.
