Full job description

We are hiring Waking Night Support Workers in Essex. If you are kind, empathetic, resilient and have a good sense of humour, we want to hear from you!

Career Opportunity.

The manager would like to onboard a new Waking Night Support Workers and is offering Continued Professional Development courses as well as an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Residential Child Care.

If you already have your NVQ level 3 and are more interested in a Senior Support Worker Role, please still apply for this post as the company can facilitate Seniors and offer support throughout your NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management.

Day to Day responsibilities.

A typical night in the home consists of all the things a parent would do for their own child. This means planning their week, ensuring they get to bed at an age appropriate time, ensuring they are able to get up on time for breakfast and school as well as supporting them with personal hygiene routines.

As a regulated industry, safeguarding, recordkeeping and recording are of the upmost importance.

Type of person we are looking for.

The young people here can be vulnerable and have been let down numerous times throughout their lives.

This means sometimes they can display challenging behaviour. As a result, you'll need to be a confident individual that is resilient and is able to think quickly, act appropriately and de-escalate any situation you may face. You will need to be avaiable to work waking nights and sleep-in shifts.

If you have a drivers license and any qualifications relating to childcare, healthcare, supported living or mental health this will be a benefit to your application.

You will receive a minimum of £10-11 per hour depending on experience. Full-time contracts are 37.5 hours however there is a wealth of overtime available.

It is a 1 or 2 stage interview depending on your level of experience and demonstration of your existing knowledge.
