Zalaris UK and Ireland is hiring a Strategic Key Account Manager with strong upselling and business development capabilities, who combines exceptional customer relationship management with a challenger-sales mindset to drive growth across our multinational HR and Payroll customer base. As a Kay Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers, supporting them throughout their partnership with Zalaris—from service transition and governance to renewals, growth, and continuous improvement. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders, helping customers maximise the value of our services while identifying opportunities to improve processes and expand the partnership.

We are looking for candidates with experience working in HR and Payroll outsourcing (BPO) organisations, particularly those with a good understanding of SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Payroll solutions. Your Mission and Role

In the role of Strategic Key Account Manager, you will be at the heart of our customer relationships, taking full responsibility for guiding customers from onboarding through to renewal and growth. You will build trusted partnerships with HR leaders across the UK and Ireland, you will ensure exceptional service delivery while identifying opportunities to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and business expansion.

Working within a dynamic matrix organisation, you will confidently lead governance activities and collaborate closely with executive stakeholders, Service Delivery teams, HR experts and consultants to deliver an outstanding customer experience and support sustainable growth.

Your Responsibilities

Own the customer P&L and take full commercial accountability for assigned strategic accounts.
Develop and execute account management plans aligned with customer objectives.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Lead tactical and strategic governance meetings with customers.
Secure customer satisfaction through regular engagement, service reviews, outcome measurement.
Drive account growth through renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and the identification of new business opportunities.
Ensure successful and correct delivery of our solutions according customer needs and objectives.
Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
Forecast, track and analyse key customer account metrics.
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
Drive innovation and customer continues improvement initiatives to maximise long-term partnership success.
Act as an escalation point for service and contract-related issues, maintaining customer trust.
Support bid-team in new sales opportunities where required.
Ensure a smooth contract handover from sales to Operations and oversee the customer lifecycle from onboarding through renewal and expansion.

Your Experience and Skills

Proven experience in a Key Account Management role within an HR & Payroll outsourcing (BPO) operating in complex, global environments.
Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in upsell, renewals, and business development.
Experience managing strategic customer relationships and working with senior stakeholders, ideally multi-country.
Understanding of Payroll, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Travel & Expense, and HCM platform i.e. Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar.
Analytical and advisory skills — able to build business cases and challenge customer thinking.
A proactive, entrepreneurial “can-do” attitude and strong accountability for customer success.
