Here at GXO, we're recruiting for an HR Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Human Resources, gaining exposure across the full employee lifecycle while supporting both colleagues and managers daily. Working closely with the People team, you'll play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service, helping to ensure colleagues receive a positive experience throughout their employment journey.

We’re offering a salary of £27,000.00 per annum, plus 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Support the management and monitoring of absence processes, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and maintained in line with company policies
Provide general HR administration support, including preparing letters, employee documentation and correspondence to support people processes across the site
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring new starters and leavers are processed accurately and efficiently
Support employee relations administration, including minute taking, report preparation and assisting with people-related casework where required
Support employee engagement, wellbeing and site initiatives while responding to HR-related queries in a professional and timely manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous HR administration experience or transferable experience within an administrative, customer service or people-focused role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, with confidence working with systems and data
A positive, proactive approach with a genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Human Resources
