Overview

We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a lively environment, providing excellent customer service and supporting various operational tasks within the café. The successful candidate will be passionate about food and beverage service, possess strong organisational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure you excel in your duties. This position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, teas, and light snacks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Operate coffee machines and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions with attention to detail.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or salads when required.
Serve customers courteously, providing friendly assistance and answering queries about menu items.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling procedures.
Support team members during busy periods by stepping into different roles as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Experience

Previous experience in a café, barista role, or customer service environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial to maintain compliance with hygiene regulations.
Experience in serving customers efficiently while managing multiple tasks is advantageous.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team are key qualities for success in this role.
