Pharmacy Dispenser - Career Development to Pharmacy Technician & ACT Available

Join our flagship pharmacy

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to join our flagship community pharmacy in Ainsdale.

Whether you're already an experienced dispenser or looking to take the next step in your career, we'll support you with ongoing training and development, including opportunities to progress to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician and Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification.

The Role

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll play an important role in ensuring our patients receive safe, accurate and efficient pharmaceutical care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Dispensing prescriptions accurately and safely under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Providing friendly, professional service to patients and responding to their enquiries.
Communicating effectively with GP surgeries, healthcare professionals and suppliers.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary.
Assisting with stock ordering, stock control and date checking.
Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant dispensary environment.
Working closely with the wider pharmacy team to deliver an excellent patient experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about delivering excellent customer and patient care.
A strong team player with a positive attitude.
Organised and able to work accurately in a busy environment.
Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
Able to work independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team.

Qualifications & Experience

Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services Skills and Pharmaceutical Science is desirable but not essential.
Previous experience working in a community pharmacy or dispensing environment is preferred.
Candidates with relevant pharmacy experience who are keen to develop are encouraged to apply.
