Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere in our 'Proper Pub' Environment. Your role will involve bartending duties, managing customer orders, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes.
Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout their experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations within the establishment.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
Basic knowledge of bartending techniques is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Understanding of food safety practices is desirable to maintain health standards within the bar area.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
