Job Summary

Events Staff (Casual / Flexible)

Location: Fritton Lake & Somerleyton Hall

We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals aged 17 and over to join our Events Staff Bank, supporting a variety of exciting events at the beautiful venues of Fritton Lake and Somerleyton Hall.

This is an ideal opportunity for students, those with another job, or anyone looking for flexible work that fits around existing commitments.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout the event
Supporting the smooth running of weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and seasonal occasions.
Assist with food and beverage service, including serving guests and replenishing supplies
Ensure food safety standards are maintained during food handling and service
Help with event setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment
Monitor event spaces for cleanliness, safety and guest comfort

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in bartending or table service is a plus.
Knowledge of guest services best practices to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, school holidays and the occasional weekday.
