Full job description

Job Purpose

As a Hotel General Assistant, you will provide excellent customer service while supporting different departments across the hotel. Your duties will include working on Reception, assisting in the Restaurant and Bar, supporting the Spa team, and covering Night Porter duties when required. Flexibility is essential as no two days are the same.

Main Duties Reception

Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Check guests in and out of the hotel.
Answer telephone and email enquiries.
Take payments and process bookings.
Assist guests with any questions or requests.

Food & Beverage

Serve food and drinks to guests.
Set up and clear tables.
Help with breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.
Keep the restaurant and bar clean and tidy.

Spa

Welcome spa guests.
Check guests in for treatments and spa access.
Ensure the spa reception and guest areas are clean and well presented.
Assist with guest enquiries.

Night Porter (When Required)

Carry out late check-ins and early departures.
Complete security checks around the hotel.
Set up rooms for the following day.
Help guests with any overnight requests.
Keep public areas clean and tidy.

General Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Work as part of the hotel team.
Help in different departments when required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Follow all Health & Safety and company procedures.
Report any maintenance or safety issues.
Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.

Ability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
