Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Weekend Catering Event Manager to oversee and coordinate catering events during weekends and occasional evenings. This role involves managing food preparation, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional service delivery at various venues. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in hospitality or culinary environments, and a passion for delivering memorable event experiences. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your organisational talents and culinary knowledge within a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage catering staff, ensuring smooth operations throughout events.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and safety regulations.
Ensure food safety procedures are strictly adhered to during all stages of event service.
Manage team members effectively, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain high standards of hospitality and delivering excellent customer service to guests.
Oversee the organisation of event stock, logistics, including equipment setup and breakdown.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas before, during, and after events.
Handle any unforeseen issues onsite promptly to ensure seamless event execution.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience within catering, hospitality, or event management.
Full UK driving licence and confident in driving a long wheelbase van.
Experience in team management and leadership roles during busy service periods.
Available to work weekends and occasional evenings.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality who enjoy leading teams and delivering outstanding catering experiences on weekends and occasional evenings. Applicants should be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of service excellence at all times.

Pay: £20.00 per hour
