About the Role:

We are looking for a Director of Operations who can provide strategic leadership across our business services and operational functions. You will be responsible for improving performance, strengthening internal processes, and ensuring that teams consistently deliver high quality results.

This is a senior leadership position for someone who can balance long term business planning with practical day to day execution. You will work closely with company directors, department managers, clients, and external partners to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy:

Develop and implement operational plans that support the company's commercial objectives, service standards, and long term growth.

Business Performance:

Establish performance measures, review operational results, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, and profitability.

Team Leadership:

Lead and support department managers and operational teams. Set clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, and promote accountability across the organisation.

Process Improvement:

Review existing systems, workflows, and procedures. Introduce practical improvements that reduce delays, control costs, and strengthen service delivery.

Financial Oversight:

Work with senior management and finance teams to prepare operational budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure resources are used effectively.

Client Service:

Maintain strong relationships with key clients and ensure that operational teams meet agreed service expectations and contractual requirements.

Risk and Compliance:

Ensure that company operations follow relevant legal, regulatory, health and safety, data protection, and internal governance requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

Provide clear operational reports and recommendations to company directors, clients, managers, and external business partners.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

At least 8 years of experience in operations, business services, corporate services, or a related management field, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.

Leadership:

Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams, department managers, budgets, and company wide operational projects.

Commercial Awareness:

A strong understanding of business performance, cost management, resource planning, and service delivery.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present recommendations and manage senior stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

A practical and analytical approach to resolving operational challenges, improving processes, and making informed decisions.

Education:

A degree in business management, operations, finance, or a related subject is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Mindset:

You are organised, commercially focused, accountable, and comfortable making decisions in a changing business environment.

Pay: £84,000.00-£125,000.00 per year
