The Opportunity

Salary: £32,597 to £35,412 per annum

Working Pattern: Full time 37 hours per week

Location County Hall, Chichester with hybrid working opportunities

Interview date: Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th August

As a Finance and Performance Officer you will, work within the Operational Finance team to provide a reliable and efficient support to a team or multiple teams with high level administrative tasks.

This will include handling client queries, providing standard information and guidance, maintaining records, producing routine correspondence, and supporting daily processing in line with established procedures.

What you will bring to the role:

To be successful in this role you will need to be:

Proactive with a can-do attitude, focused on personal and professional development.
Experience of collaborating with stakeholders to provide technical, financial, budgetary and performance management information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of managing conflicting priorities to deliver high-quality projects.
Have a strong focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to value for money.

What are we looking for?

Excellent written skills to clearly present complex financial and performance data for managers and contribute to reports.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, build relationships, to explain technical information and budgets clearly.
Strong technical, analytical, and numeracy skills to manage large, complex datasets and budgets.
Experience of supervising teams and have the ability to guide, support, and allocate work.
Adaptable to change, with the ability to learn new systems and improve working methods.
Strong organisation skills, able to plan work over the medium term, coordinating activities to meet deadlines.
Competent in using MS Excel and experience with Oracle Fusion or similar systems for accounting and performance management, capable of performing complex financial calculations.
Strong IT skills able to carry out routine tasks, including managing emails, word processing, and creating charts or graphs.
