Overview

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal specialising in Residential Conveyancing to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and maintaining high standards of client service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to utilise and further develop their expertise within a reputable law firm. The role is paid and requires a proactive, organised individual with strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of conveyancing processes.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and review of legal documentation related to residential property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.
Manage and progress files efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met in accordance with client and legal requirements.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction progress.
Conduct searches such as local authority searches, land registry checks, and environmental reports.
Draft correspondence and legal notices as required throughout the conveyancing process.
Organise and maintain accurate case files using Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised case management software.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies at all times.
Provide administrative support to fee earners, including scheduling appointments and managing diaries effectively.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Paralegal within residential conveyancing or property law.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential; familiarity with case management systems is advantageous.
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software platforms quickly.
Demonstrated time management skills ensuring deadlines are consistently met while maintaining accuracy.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus but not essential.
