Production & Operations Manager (Part-time)

Good Earth Growers

Good Earth Growers is a specialist producer of premium microgreens, edible flowers, herbs and specialist vegetables, supplying restaurants and other customers with fresh produce grown to order. We are a small, well-established business with an excellent reputation, loyal customers and exciting opportunities for future growth.

We’re looking for an organised, practical and motivated Production & Operations Manager to help lead the next stage of the business.

This is a hands-on role that combines production planning, team coordination and business management. Working closely with the owner, you’ll help ensure the business operates efficiently while continually improving the systems that support it.

What you’ll do

● Coordinate daily production to meet customer orders.

● Plan sowing, growing, harvesting and packing schedules.

● Organise and support a small production team.

● Monitor crop quality and production standards.

● Help improve systems, workflow and efficiency.

● Produce clear weekly reports and performance information.

● Assist with stock management, purchasing and production planning.

● Help deliver consistently excellent service to our customers.

We’re looking for someone who:

● Is highly organised and dependable.

● Enjoys improving systems and making things run smoothly.

● Can lead with clarity, kindness and good communication.

● Is confident using spreadsheets and digital management tools.

● Has experience in production, food manufacturing, horticulture, farming or operations management (or similar).

● Enjoys solving practical problems and taking responsibility.

The opportunity

This is more than a management role. We’re looking for someone who wants to make a genuine contribution to the future of the business.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence how Good Earth Growers develops, introduce improvements, help shape new systems and become a trusted part of a small, ambitious company. As the business grows, there will be opportunities for the role to develop alongside it, with increasing responsibility for the right person.

Hours

Approximately 16 to 30 hours per week, with flexibility depending on the season.

Salary

Competitive and dependent on experience.
