Full job description

Overview

We are looking for an experinaced solar and battery installation supervisor to over see our instatalltion teams this is a hands on leadership role so must have extensive knowledge of the industry

Duties

Safely assemble and install solar panel arrays according to engineering specifications and safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to secure panels and mounting structures
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and foundation work
Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels and ensure structural integrity
Perform electrical wiring and connections, adhering to electrical codes and safety protocols
Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and troubleshoot any system issues during commissioning
Maintain detailed records of installation processes, materials used, and safety inspections

Requirements

Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and mechanical systems
Familiarity with excavator operation or willingness to learn safely on-site
Basic electrical experience or understanding of electrical systems related to solar energy setups
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for precise installations
Valid driver’s license; additional certifications in electrical work or welding are a plus
