Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary staff by maintaining a clean, organised, and safe environment. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and hospitality will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen setting while supporting the overall success of our restaurant or hotel operations.

Duties

Ensure all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, storage areas, and dining service zones
Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently and responsibly
Support with stock rotation, inventory organisation, and restocking supplies as needed
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Serve as a helpful team member by assisting with general kitchen duties during busy service times

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
Experience working in hotels or catering services can be beneficial
Strong understanding of cleanliness standards within a culinary setting
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
A genuine interest in hospitality, food service, and culinary arts
