Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this lively role, you’ll support the kitchen staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure smooth kitchen operations, allowing chefs to focus on creating delicious dishes. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hospitality and culinary experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal areas
Support with basic cooking tasks when needed, including ingredient handling and assembly
Ensure all kitchen tools and supplies are properly stored and organized for easy access
Help with receiving deliveries and stocking supplies to keep the kitchen well-equipped
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene practices is advantageous
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service environments
