Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Self Employed Pub Operator to manage and oversee the daily operations of a private pub. This role offers the opportunity to lead a hospitality establishment, ensuring excellent guest experiences while maintaining efficient business practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, supervising staff, and implementing effective operational strategies. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial individual with a passion for hospitality and proven leadership skills.

Duties

Manage all aspects of pub operations, including opening and closing procedures
Oversee staff recruitment, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of guest service
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to promote customer satisfaction
Organise events or promotions to enhance the pub’s profile within the community
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures
Foster a positive team environment that encourages teamwork and leadership development

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within hospitality or similar service industries
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Experience in hotel or hospitality management is highly desirable
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Knowledge of human resources practices related to staff management and development
Previous experience in hospitality or pub management is essential
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Personal license
