Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our care home. The ideal candidate will ensure bedrooms and lounge/dining areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all residents & visitors. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about service excellence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and lounge/dining areas according to established standards
Change bed linens, replenish amenities, and ensure all surfaces are spotless
Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, and other communal spaces
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
Restock cleaning supplies and guest amenities as required
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Follow organisational procedures for waste disposal and linen handling
Assist with additional cleaning tasks during busy periods or special events

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
A positive approach towards guest service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Pay: £12.90 per hour
