Join Us as a Domestic & Laundry Assistant

Southport | Lakeside Location | Brand-New Specialist Care Home

Sandpipers Care Centre is preparing to welcome its very first residents — and we need a dedicated Domestic & Laundry Assistant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help make our brand-new home shine!

With majestic lakefront views in the heart of Southport, our stunning up to 45-bedded Specialist Nursing Home will be a haven of care, comfort, and community. And behind every calm, clean corridor and every fresh, folded sheet? You.

If you’re the kind of person who takes pride in creating tidy, welcoming spaces and can turn chaos into calm with a mop or a smile — this is your time to shine!

What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a hands-on, all-rounder role where no two days are quite the same — but all of them matter. Your duties will include:

Cleaning communal areas, residents’ rooms, and facilities to a high standard
Handling laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and delivering fresh linen
Making sure all areas are always presentable, safe, and spotless
Using cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Helping to monitor and organise stock of cleaning and laundry supplies
Working as part of a close-knit team and always bringing a positive, can-do attitude

What You’ll Bring:

You don’t need a long list of qualifications — just a big heart and a strong work ethic. We’re looking for someone who is:

Reliable and takes pride in their work
Physically fit and able to manage lifting, moving, and active cleaning tasks
Detail-oriented — you notice the little things others might miss
Great at managing your time and working independently
Friendly, approachable, and happy to pitch in wherever needed
Previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is a bonus — but not essential. Full training will be provided!
