Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this entry-level role, you will play a vital part in supporting the kitchen’s food production and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, gain valuable kitchen experience, and work alongside seasoned professionals in a vibrant hospitality environment. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, cooking, and team collaboration will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs to ensure timely service.
Support food safety and hygiene standards by maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations.
Help with ingredient preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes.
Contribute to food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Follow instructions from head chefs and supervisors to meet specific dish specifications.
Participate in maintaining a positive team environment by demonstrating leadership qualities and proactive communication.

Experience

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; a strong passion for culinary arts is key.
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a hospitality setting.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking roles will be advantageous.
Proven teamwork skills with the ability to support and supervise peers when needed.
Basic knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards is beneficial.
