Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and culinary excellence will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and support the smooth operation of our kitchen. Duties

Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
Cook a variety of menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe environment
Support meal service by plating dishes, serving customers when needed, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or restocking needs
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen work within a restaurant or similar setting
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
Strong skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively
Previous experience serving customers or supporting front-of-house activities is a plus but not required
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn new skills in food service
