Job Title: Assistant Estimator
Location: Heathfield, Newton Abbot (office-based)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 16:00
Salary: Starting from £26,000
Department: Estimating

About the Role:

Due to the growth of our business and an increase in customer demand, we are excited to offer a motivated and detail-oriented individual the opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Estimator. This role provides a fantastic chance to work closely with our Senior Estimator, gaining valuable industry experience and contributing to the securing of future projects. You will be an essential part of our estimating team, supporting the development of accurate and competitive project proposals.

What You Will Be Doing:

Record and update incoming project enquiries with accuracy and timeliness, including contacting customers to gather project details and ensuring data integrity in our database.
Compile and process data from site visits—once visits are completed, input the information into the database and assist in preparing detailed estimates for clients.
Maintain the estimating database to ensure it remains current and accurate, supporting efficient project management and decision-making.
Assist in building estimates under the supervision of the Senior Estimator, developing your skills and understanding of the estimating process.
Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and manage client records effectively.
Support the team in maintaining good communication with clients and suppliers as required.
