Overview

THIS ROLE IS 2 DAYS IN THE KITCHEN, ANY ADDITIONAL HOURS NEEDED WOULD BE OUT FRONY ON THE CAFE FLOOR!

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cook/front of house team member to join our vibrant hospitality environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine culinary skills with exceptional customer service, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a lively, positive environment that keeps guests coming back. THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS AS WEEKDAY SHIFTS WILL BE REQUIRED AS WELL AS WEEKENDS, WE OFFER ROTATED WEEKEND SHIFTS, STAFF MEALS, A GOOD SHARE OF TIPS AND NO EVENING WORK!

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols.
Serve food to guests in a friendly, timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
Support front of house operations by greeting guests, taking orders, and managing table setups when needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
Prior experience serving customers is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for guest interaction is essential.
Culinary experience or training is highly valued; willingness to learn new techniques is important.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required during meal prep and service.
