About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Support manager to join us on a part time (22 hours per week) basis as a Business Administration Lead in Children’s Social Care. The successful candidate will lead the Business Support function within the newly formed Early Intervention and Community Team. The team will lead a joint approach from Education and Children and Families Community Early Help and will enable Early Years Development and SEND Practitioners, Outcome Coordinators, Early Help Coordinators and Community Social Workers to ensure children requiring more than universal support are responded to effectively at the earliest stage. As a Business Administration Lead, you will work closely with the Service Managers and Head of Service to support the new teams to deliver the targeted support aspects of the council’s “Support First” approach to attendance at Education settings.

Duties will include: -

Allocation of workload
Regular supervision and performance reviews with members of your team
Performance management
Regular attendance at Leadership and Management meetings
Facilitating regular team meetings and huddles
Review and development of processes

About You

You will have proven leadership skills and evidence of strong oversight of process and performance. The role involves direct line management of a small team of two Business Administrators who are based at different council buildings across the county, therefore, the ability to travel to countywide locations is essential. You will have strong IT and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a flexible approach with an ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines.
