The role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Engineering Manager to provide end-to-end engineering leadership across the site, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of all manufacturing assets through a structured engineering strategy, technical authority, and delivery of long-term improvement
You'll drive reliability, continuous improvement, maintenance excellence, and capital investment projects while developing a high-performing engineering team focused on delivering sustainable results.
As a leader within the business, you'll champion VEKA's values through strong teamwork, ownership, respect, and a commitment to continuous improvement, helping to shape the future success of the site.

What you'll do

Develop and deliver the site's engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and technical standards to support business objectives and future growth.
Lead asset lifecycle management, reliability engineering, and maintenance excellence to maximise manufacturing performance and OTIF delivery.
Own the engineering capital investment programme, identifying, justifying, and delivering projects that improve capability, efficiency, and return on investment.
Drive engineering contribution to operational performance through data-led problem solving, continuous improvement, and process optimisation.
Build, develop, and structure a high-performing engineering organisation with clear accountability, capability development, and succession planning.
Ensure robust engineering governance, regulatory compliance, and technical leadership while contributing as a key member of the Site Leadership Team.

What you'll need

Ideally degree qualified or a suitable Engineering qualification
Proven track record in senior engineering leadership role
Strong experience in:
- Asset reliability and maintenance strategy
- Capital project delivery
- Manufacturing engineering (preferably extrusion / similar)
Ability to operate at:
- Strategic level (roadmaps, investment)
- Tactical level (problem solving, performance)
Demonstrated leadership of multi-layered teams
Strong influencing skills across senior stakeholders
