Agile Circuit Technology Group is a leading UK electronics contract manufacturing group with two established businesses: Garner Osborne Circuits (Newbury) and Active-PCB Solutions (Reading).

With a combined revenue of £36 million and a team of 280 talented professionals, we deliver high-quality PCB manufacturing, PCB assembly and box-build solutions to a diverse customer base across multiple sectors.

Role Summary

Reporting to our Group Chief Operating Officer you’ll be responsible for leading and optimising all supply chain activities across multiple contract electronics manufacturing (CEM) sites. You’ll ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain performance, from strategic sourcing and procurement through to planning, inventory management, and logistics, aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.

This is a key senior leadership position focused on delivering operational excellence, cost competitiveness, supply resilience, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. The role is critical in ensuring a resilient, agile, and cost-effective supply chain that supports business growth and customer satisfaction.

You’ll be a strong leader with deep industry expertise and a track record of delivering tangible supply chain improvements in a contract electronics manufacturing environment.

Role Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Define and implement a group-wide supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, customer needs, and market conditions
Lead supply chain transformation initiatives, driving continuous improvement and digitalisation
Develop long-term sourcing strategies, including global supplier footprint optimisation

Procurement & Supplier Management:

Oversee all procurement activities including direct and indirect spend. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to ensure competitive advantage
Drive supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
Manage supply risk, including obsolescence, shortages, and geopolitical exposure

Planning & Inventory Management:

Establish robust S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes across both sites
Ensure accurate demand forecasting and effective production planning
Optimise inventory levels to balance working capital and service performance
Drive improvements in MRP/ERP usage, data accuracy, and planning discipline

Operations & Logistics:

Ensure the teams provide efficient material flow and on-time delivery to production and customers
Drive improvements in lead times, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and overall service levels
Manage freight strategies, cost control, and global logistics partners
Cost Optimisation & Performance Management
Own supply chain cost performance, including material cost reduction initiatives
Implement value engineering and cost-down programmes with suppliers
Monitor and report on key KPIs: OTIF, inventory turns, PPV, supplier performance, etc.
Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and service

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies and component shortages
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IPC), regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing policies
Lead business continuity planning for supply chain disruptions

Cost Optimisation & Performance Management:

Own supply chain cost performance, including material cost reduction initiatives
Implement value engineering and cost-down programmes with suppliers
Monitor and report on key KPIs: OTIF, inventory turns, PPV, supplier performance, etc.
Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and service

Performance Measures: (selected but not exhaustive examples)

-On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance

-Inventory turns and working capital targets

-Material cost reduction / PPV

-Supplier performance metrics

-Lead time reduction

-Supply chain cost as % of revenue

Additional Information

You’ll have responsibility for two manufacturing sites (multi-site travel required). Our sites are Active-PCB in Reading, Berkshire and Garner Osborne Circuits in Newbury, Berkshire.

The role may also involve international supplier engagement.

About you

You’ll have proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role within contract electronics manufacturing (CEM/EMS) or similar high-tech manufacturing environment
A background in procurement, planning, and supply chain strategy 
Experience managing or working in multi-site operations with proven leadership and team development capability 
Deep understanding of electronics component supply chains and market dynamics 
Demonstrated success in cost reduction, supplier negotiations, and supply chain transformation 
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen 
Advanced negotiation and influencing skills 
Data-driven decision making and analytical capability 
Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership and external partners 
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
Able to problem-solve in complex supply chain environments
