About this role
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community within the Support and information Zone (SIZ) team based at the Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses. The SIZ provides a high-quality enquiry handling and reception service, or ‘one-stop-shop’ for students, staff and visitors to the University. We are now recruiting for a part-time Service Advisor to join our successful team.

Working in a customer focused role, dealing with internal and external contacts, you will take responsibility for answering queries and resolving issues relating to a broad range of topics such as: offering first-line IT Support; how to access various student support services; registration and admissions information; guidance on student-related processes and procedures, advice on how to access electronic books, journals and databases.

About you
The appointed postholder will have a welcoming, and pro-active problem-solving approach and will be able to act as a key contact with Professional Service teams and Academic departments. You will be willing to engage in appropriate training and development to ensure the highest level of customer service.

The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills along with proven experience of delivering first line customer service and support in a complex environment. Experience or demonstrable skills in first line IT support is essential for this post, as is the ability to appreciate issues from a service user’s perspective, offering an empathetic and empowering approach to others.

The post will require the successful candidate to work on the part-time shift pattern detailed above.
