Full job description

Driscoll Kingston & Co. are currently looking for a Housing Repair Breach Handler to join our vibrant and fast-paced Housing Repair Breach team.

A housing repair breach claim occurs when a landlord fails to fulfil a previously agreed-upon or legally mandated repair obligation, even after a housing disrepair claim has been initiated. This can happen if repairs were agreed upon in a settlement agreement or court order but were not completed within the stipulated timeframe or to the agreed standard.

Main Responsibilities:

Review cases to ascertain whether further legal breach action is appropriate.
Drafting Proceedings and Applications
Drafting Witness statements
Good Knowledge of CPR
Dealing with Social Housing Tenants
Drafting Application and Part 8 proceedings
Send routine correspondence to Clients, landlords and Solicitors.
Liaising with experts, counsel.
Preparation of Court hearing bundles

Skills:

Excellent IT skills
Excel knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Empathy clients who are for Social Landlord tenants
Strong negotiation skills
Willingness to learn and develop
