Job description: Quality Assurance & Control Engineer

Location: Qatar

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Degree obtained from North America, Western Europe, or Australia.
Chartered Membership in a relevant professional body (Chartered QA/QC Engineer) is preferred and would be an advantage.
Physically fit to enter and work in confined spaces and capable of undertaking competency assessments to the required level (essential).
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 50001 standards.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary organization, preferably in the Middle East.
Extensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Review annual Quality Plans submitted by Framework Contractors and ensure compliance with organizational quality policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
Conduct inspections of Framework Contractors’ work activities to verify compliance with contractual quality requirements.
Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) submitted by Framework Contractors and monitor their proper implementation, identifying areas for improvement where necessary.
Support DNO&M internal audits and conduct second-party (Business-As-Usual) audits of Framework Contractors.
Review Contractors’ QA/QC reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, and inspection records.
Coordinate with Framework Contractors to ensure timely and effective resolution of Technical Queries (TQs), Concession Requests (CRs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within DNO&M catchment zones.
Monitor contractor performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions to maintain quality standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives across DNO&M operations.

Preferred Competencies

Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 50001).
Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
Internal and External Auditing.
Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) implementation.
Non-Conformance Management (NCR), Technical Queries (TQ), and Concession Requests (CR).
Contractor and Contract Management.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Experience in multidisciplinary environments and Middle East projects is highly desirable.
