Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your hospitality skills will be valued and developed. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a lively setting, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Serve a variety of beverages and food items in accordance with company standards and food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws.
Handle cash transactions efficiently using the POS system, providing correct change and receipts.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a tidy environment at all times.
Engage with customers to enhance their experience, addressing any special requests or concerns professionally.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for staff and patrons.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or as a server/barista is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Familiarity with serving techniques, including handling drinks and food orders efficiently.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
