Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Chef/s to join our kitchen team and are now seeking CV’s with immediate starts for the right applicants!

The Post House is a licensed, 30 cover Cafe/Coffee Shop based in Invergowrie on outskirts of Dundee.

We offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, delicious baking, freshly ground espresso and a range of speciality teas. We offer a selection of gluten free and vegan options also. Customers can choose from restaurant, pod and al fresco dining on our courtyard.

You will be responsible for running the small but very busy kitchen whilst on duty. You must be able to cook and bake to a high level, have food hygiene certs, professional cookery qualifications and be experienced in and accustomed to working in a fast paced kitchen. You will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is run in line with company policy and food hygiene legislation, supervising a KP, stock control, managing our Food Safety Management System and minimising waste. Applicants must be flexible!

The openings are part time and will involve 4 or 5 days (or 25-41hrs per week) with fair share of weekends on shift. Shifts will be 8.30am start until close, finishing up around 4.30/5.00pm. Some evening work will be involved in the coming months so you should be able to do evening shifts. You will be expected to cover holidays for your back to backs etc so again, flexibility is a must!

Rate of pay exceeds NMW and may be negotiable DOE with immediate start for right person .

All applicants must be confident, enthusiastic, skilled, flexible, punctual, well presented, trustworthy and ready to start! Training will of course be given but applicants must have the skills and confidence to hit the ground running.
