Full job description

You will be working in the Infrastructure function working on our Anglian Water Project. Through our role in the @one Alliance, we’re helping Anglian Water deliver a £2.6 billion investment in vital infrastructure. From civil works to water treatment facilities, this programme strengthens environmental protection across the East of England - safeguarding water resources for generations to come.

We are currently looking for an Civil & Structural Engineer who will deliver projects safely, on time, and sustainably - driving efficiency and strong performance without compromising governance.

As the Civil & Structural Engineer, you will:

Lead the development of design solutions and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Undertake feasibility studies, optioneering, and detailed design, producing clear design sketches and integrating outputs into digital models using computer-aided design tools.
Support the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, programmes, and budgets, while applying effective risk management processes, including Design Risk Assessments.
Ensure compliance with DSEAR requirements, prepare construction and health and safety documentation, and respond to technical queries with a strong focus on cost efficiency, safety, and design integrity.
Manage projects through all stages, from feasibility and detailed design to construction, ensuring delivery in line with relevant standards, budgets, and programme requirements.

What you'll bring to the role:

BEng or MEng/MSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Knowledge and experience of undertaking structural calculations for various concrete structures meeting required standards.
Experience of undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the water and waste water industry, including relevant engineering software packages.
Experience producing technical sketches in communicating with different disciplines to explore idea and pass design decisions.
